The most wonderful time of the year is almost upon us! If you intend to spend the holidays in sunny Singapore, there are many activities that will put you in the festive spirit. Reign in the jolly season by going for Christmas events that Singapore has to offer for the year 2022. We know you missed all these events since the pandemic has made going for events so much more difficult the past few years. 

Here is a list of places where you and your family may celebrate Christmas in Singapore, from Christmas markets to caroling events to “snow” falling where you and your family may celebrate the season! 

  1. Rainforest Lumina

For an immersive night experience, head over to Rainforest Lumina at the Singapore Zoo! For the past 3 years every Christmas season, the Rainforest Lumina has been illuminated with Christmas magic in a very special edition, so do not miss out on this chance to explore this magical universe! 

They have festive light ups and photo ops around the venue where you get to brighten up your social media, and snap a pose with the Creature Crew at one of the many photo spots scattered around Rainforest Lumina. 

For chilly nighttime strolls amid a multimedia extravaganza that combines nature and technology, visit Rainforest Lumina at the Singapore Zoo. Evenings will be further enchanted by Christmas magic. Participate in seasonal craft projects to finish the Rainforest Lumina’s Adventure Quest and decorate Christmas ornaments while you’re there. 

  1. Christmas Wonderland at Gardens By The Bay

Visitors to this year’s Christmas Wonderland will experience amazing vistas, beautifully illuminated architecture, and holiday lights. No one’s a stranger to this one because it’s definitely Singapore’s most anticipated Christmas event of the year! There are several activities available here, such as taking pictures with Santa Claus and the gigantic Christmas tree, as well as observing Christmas lights (such as the Garden Rhapsody Light and Sound Show). Even the carnival games are super exciting and the European-style market is a great place to finish up your holiday shopping. There is simply a ton of fun to be had!   1. Furama Riverfront

This Christmas, Furama RiverFront is bustling with fun activities. Before we even get to the craft workshops, art jams, and other activities at Impressions Kids Club, there is a Christmas boot camp for kids over at indoor playground Waka Waka and a Christmas light-up in partnership with HaruPlate. This is the place to look if you want to keep the youngsters occupied all at once! You can take in the festive spirit because there’s something for everyone to do at this event. 

3. Orchard Road Christmas Lights

Orchard Road, one of Singapore’s most well-known streets and a top destination for discerning tourists and avid shoppers alike, experiences an increase in energy as Christmas approaches.

Christmas on Great Street, a 39-year-old yearly light show that turns Orchard Road into a winter wonderland, will be back in 2022 with plenty of dazzling lights, entrancing Christmas decorations, and holiday cheer.

Christmas on A Great Street is a joint celebration between Hitachi and the Orchard Road Business Association (ORBA). Soak in the Christmas spirit during the season filled with joyful events, dazzling displays, and festive fun.

  1. Science Center Singapore

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, Science Centre Singapore is hosting a ton of festive events. To get you in the holiday spirit, why not attend Santa’s Surprise Party? Two elves are busy organizing a surprise party for Santa in this 30-minute skit. They must also prepare Santa’s favorite foods and beverages in addition to cleaning and decorating. Will they complete it in time for the major surprise, though? Come learn with them! Get your tickets ahead of time and get into the festive spirit! 

  1. European Christmas Fair

Get into the holiday spirit and partake in some hot mulled wine and gingerbread at HUONE Singapore premium Christmas Fair event on Wednesday, November 23, from noon to 8 p.m. There are many European goods available for you to take home. 

  1. Christmas Wooden Ornament Painting Workshop

This workshop runs for 2 hours and you will get to join a class where you can paint Christmas tree ornaments to get into the holiday spirit! Paint your way into the holiday season with this fun workshop that’s perfect for anyone of all ages! If you like to DIY or just generally enjoy painting, this Christmas workshop is definitely for you. 

  1. Santa’s At Singapore’s Sea Aquarium!

Keep an eye out for Scuba Santa at the S.E.A. Aquarium this year if you want to see Santa with a twist as he dives among the manta rays, sharks, and other marine buddies! Not only that, but you can also visit Pinkfong and Baby Shark, get pictures with the characters dressed as Christmas characters, and even take part in a unique dance ‘n greet session!

  1. Capitol Singapore & Chijmes

This Christmas, Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES are going all out for festive family fun. The Capitol Kempinski Singing Tree will be singing live once again, this time in collaboration with Voices of Singapore (V.O.S.) and other caroling ensembles. Additionally, a distinctive sidecar Santa experience is available,  the Christmas market, and the skating rink is all for you to enjoy. 

  1. DIY Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Available at Sing See Soon Floral & Landscape on 11 December 2022, this is a wonderful family activity to engage in! Create your own Christmas wreath this season using fresh pines that you can take home. A great way to show people your DIY skills and even hang your Christmas wreaths for everyone to see and marvel at.
